Earth and Sea Creative Art Camp, ages 6-10 TWO SPOTS LEFT!
August 8 - August 12$300.00
Join Salmonberry teacher Hayley Shannon and Orcas Public School’s Farm to Classroom teacher Lydia Dennee-Lee as they facilitate campers’ exploration and art making at our local gardens and beaches. Children will enjoy the garden through all of their senses, movement and making. Campers will be invited to harvest and snack on garden goodies, plant fall crops and make art such as watercolor and painted rocks, all inspired by what’s growing. Enjoy a scavenger hunt on the way to beach where we will harvest seaweed to nourish the garden. Every day includes dance and movement games inspired by the Earth and Sea.
Camp will run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday – Friday at Salmonberry School with walking trips to the public school garden, nearby beaches and other sweet spots.
Children should bring a backpack containing a water bottle, hearty snack and lunch, sturdy shoes, hat/sunscreen, and a change of clothes. Camp instructors will provide more information in their welcome email the week prior to the start of camp.
Camp cost is $300
