Earthways Nature Education Day Camp
August 17, 2020 - August 21, 2020

Ages 5-7 years old.
Camp cost is $200.
Come and join us in the magical Cedar Grove!
Celebrating the 5th year of hosting summer camps for Salmonberry School, Earthways mentors ‘Cody Coyote’ Beebe and Terry Drussel have created a week of fun learning experiences to share with your children under the protective canopy of beautiful cedar trees. All senses will be involved in our exploration of native plants and animals, language of the birds, tracking, basic wilderness awareness and safety, fire safety, non-contact nature-themed games, stories, and walks. Includes morning snack time, lunch time, and quiet, contemplative time.
This camp will take place entirely outdoors at the Glenwood Hatchery. Personal distancing of 6-feet will be practiced and each child will have a designated area with their own cohorted materials for the week. Handwashing will be required and there will be a sink with soap and hot water available. Masks will be required only during drop-off and when we gather closer than the personal distancing requirements allow. In your child’s backpack or bag, please include hand sanitizer, clean mask, personal water bottle and enough water for the entire day, hearty snacks and lunch. Campers will need sturdy closed-toed shoes (please absolutely no flip-flops or sandals, they are unsafe in the woods or during carving), an outer layer, and hat. Please apply sunscreen prior to arrival as we will not be permitted to apply any. Daily temperature scans and health checklist required at drop-off. 2 week on-island quarantine period prior to start of camp is required for off-island campers. Contact Laura at programs@salmonberryschool.org with any questions.
