Earthways Nature Education Day Camp

Ages 10-13 years old.
Camp cost is $300.
Welcome to the woods!
Join Earthways mentors Cody Beebe and Terry Drussel for a week of memorable and immersive nature-based learning experiences from wood carving, native plant and animal study, tracking and stalking, wilderness safety and survival, fire safety and primitive fire demonstration and cooking methods, primitive shelter construction, language of the birds, games, stories, hiking, and exploring! There will be contemplative, quiet time, active time, and plenty of time to snack and have lunch. All carving and other materials will be cohorted so that each camper will have their own knife and burnishing stone, sandpaper, etc. the entire week.
This camp will take place entirely outside at the Glenwood Hatchery. In a backpack, please send your child with a hearty snack and lunch, sturdy shoes, an outer layer, and sunscreen/hat each day. Daily temperature scans and health checklist required. Personal water bottle, hand sanitizer, and clean mask are required each day. 6 foot distancing. Masks required when within 6 feet. Hourly hand-washing. 2 week on island quarantine prior to start of camp is required for any off-island campers.
